Ownership of a leased asset, rent as return
The most widely accepted structure: holders own a specific asset leased to the issuer, and rental payments form the return. Ownership is real, the asset is identified, and the return derives from an actual lease rather than from lending.
Check for a face-value repurchase undertaking. Market-value repurchase preserves the risk; face-value repurchase removes it.
